The course, instructed by chef Paul Meek, has run at Riccarton Baptist Church for the past six weeks, and participants have been highly enthusiastic at what they've learned and the skills they've gained.
The aim of the course is to help men learn to cook tasty, hearty and healthy meals on a budget. A bonus each week is sharing together what they've created.

Councillors voted in January to chlorinate the city's water supply after experts warned of there was a low risk of contamination. The council authorised chlorination for up to 12 months while the work was done.
Work on at least 19 was meant to have been finished by now, but the city council has indicated that none have been completed yet.
