Somerfield Halloween Event 2020
Our Somerfield community and so many residents /families appear to be fabulous supporters of celebrating this annual Halloween event!!
We look forward to another great night at Somerfield Community Centre and seeing many families Trick or Treating safely for another year.
However this year we need to be more vigilant and even safer with hand santising and hygiene in handling wrapped lollies (preferably).
If you are feeling well, please feel welcome to join us at this event but be sure to also scan the QR code or manually sign in at the Somerfield Community Centre.
We don't want to spread any virus while having a fun community night - we all deserve!
Thanks to Tash Higginson who has organised volunteers from the South West Youth Community (SYC) to assist with face painting, craftmaking, popcorn, games and dancing tomorrow night.
Thanks to local resident Kirsten for enabling us to borrow your awesome Halloween decorations once again!!
We will also be taking some amazing Halloween photos of everyone dressed up in our photo booth, and posting them on our SRA FB page!
Feel welcome to share any of your own photos also!
More details & Halloween Friendly address list will be available via our SRA FB event page:

Happy Halloween everyone!!

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
