There's an enduring belief that Wellington is our second-largest city. We must dispel that myth, reporter Charlie Mitchell says.
Do you think Christchurch should officially be named as New Zealand's second city or should Wellington retain its title?

The study was based on the physical activity levels of 1.6 million students across 146 countries to determine how many of them adhere to the World Health Organisation's recommendation of at least one hour of physical activity a day for teenagers. Australia was one of the worst performers, ranking 140, with New Zealand faring only slightly better at 138.

After retiring from our TV screens after 40 years, veteran broadcaster Peter Williams, still gets up at 5am each weekday morning to prepare for his morning radio show.
Peter Williams explained, “Look, I’m 65. When I get up the body’s often a bit on the stiff side. “
Peter Williams claims, “Within 10 minutes, the pain was gone. I felt so much better. My body was nice and relaxed, and I was ready to go off and do my day’s work.”

Residents in parts of the suburb were urged on Wednesday afternoon to boil their water after a loss of pressure in the mains supplying the area left up to 300 properties without water.
Christchurch's water network relies on constant pressure to stop contaminants entering pipes, and when it drops pollutants can get in when the water begins flowing again.
City council officials said testing had not uncovered any problems, but urged people to boil all water for drinking, preparing food, washing utensils, brushing teeth or making ice as a precaution.
Water reticulation manager Tim Drennan said: "There are no signs of contamination at this stage but we would like to continue testing for a few more days so we can be sure there are no issues."

Residents in some areas of the suburb were advised on Wednesday afternoon to boil their water following a loss of pressure in the water mains that supply the area.
In an update today, Christchurch City Council Three Waters and Waste Reticulation Manager Tim Drennan says residents in the affected area should continue to boil all water used for drinking, food preparation, utensil washing, brushing teeth or making ice until Christchurch City Council advises that it is safe to use.
The boil water notice was introduced as a precaution because the city’s water supply network relies on a constant pressure to prevent any contaminants entering pipes.
If the pressure drops, there is a chance the water could become contaminated when it starts flowing again.
Mr Drennan says staff have been regularly testing the water supply in the area and the results have been clear.
“There are no signs of contamination at this stage but we would like to continue testing for a few more days so we can be sure there are no issues.”
Council staff are still investigating the cause of the water pressure problem.
Bringing water to the boil is sufficient to kill bugs. If you cannot boil water, treat it by adding one teaspoon of household bleach per 10 litres of water and leave for 30 minutes.
Any Mt Pleasant residents who do not have water should contact the Council’s call centre on 03 941 8999.
