What do you think about plans to upgrade High St?
Businesses and property developers want the city council to hold off rebuilding a central Christchurch road until they have a chance to get established.
The Christchurch City Council received 90 submissions on its proposal for a $9.7 million revamp of three blocks of High St. The upgrade would resurface and beautify the street at the cost of 27 car parks and extend the tram lines into a new loop, allowing the heritage trailers to return. Construction is hoped to start mid-2020.
What do you think? Should there be more or fewer car parks?
