Missy hailed a hero for alerting owner to massive Christchurch fire

How's this for a good dog?

Kurt Stewart is hailing former “gang dog” Missy a hero for raising the alarm when a large blaze erupted in a building just metres from where he lives on Sunday.

Missy – a rescue dog – saved him and those living in the neighbouring Woolston properties, he believed.
