Suspicious Man in Balcairn street
Hi neighbours, we want to remind everyone to lock doors etc.
I had just gone out about 7pm tonight, my disabled son was in bed and my hubby jumped into the shower, lucky he locked the door.
My hubby was alerted by our dog barking at this person.
The male in his mid 20s was either Maori/islander.
He was frozen with fear when my hubby came to the door.
He had gone through our gate which clearly displays “beware of dog” and we have a door bell on the gate.
I can’t repeat what my hubby said to him.
He took off.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
