Tramping club try it out day
The Over Forties Tramping Club is having a 'bring a friend' day or open day for anyone wanting to try it out. Sunday, February 21, from 8.00am to 5.00pm
. You can experience a club tramp in a non-threatening and very accessible way, knowing you aren’t the only ”new person on the block” that day. With a variety of tramps on offer you find a tramp that will fit your capability (4 hours minimum). Afterwards there will be a great social time in the Castle Hill Village Hall. Car pooling from a Chch meeting place. If interested message me with your email address so I can send all info.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
