Inviting volunteers

Alison from Hillsborough

Hello everyone!

We at Kowhai Rest home are looking for volunteers. Do you have an awesome personality? Are you good in dealing with people? Why not spend an hour or two with our residents on the resthome. Be part of our amazing team and make the residents life much colourful with your time and presence.

You can play board games, do arts and crafts, go for walks, do puzzles, trivias and quizzes or just simply spend an hour or two just socializing or conversing with our lovely residents.

If anyone is interested please flick us a message her or call our rest home at (03 3326630) and look for Alison Ward our facility manager or Patrick Atilano our Diversional Therapist.

Hope to hear from you soon. :)

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
