New primary school for Rolleston part of Canterbury schools' cash boost
A new school will be built in Rolleston and six other Canterbury schools will get extra classrooms as part of a $24 million cash injection.
The purpose-built primary will cater for 400 students when it opens in 2022 on land the Government purchased for $3m within the Acland Park subdivision.
The Selwyn town has grown dramatically since the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes, and got its first secondary school, Rolleston College, and its fifth primary school, Lemonwood Grove School (pictured below), in 2017.
