Bookarama 2025 is coming and we need your donations
The Cashmere Rotary Club is once again raising funds for charity with another Bookarama.
This year’s sale will be held at the Addington Raceway Clubhouse from 16 to 19 October and we need your donations of books, CDs, LPs, DVDs, Jigsaws and Games. Open from 9am to 6pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 9am to 2pm Sunday. Collecting of donated items starts on 15 September. Prices start at just $1. EFTPOS available. Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? 💰🌲
The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
