COVID precaution please everyone
Hello, thank you south Christchurch ... NOT! On today's supermarket trip (my first out since lockdown began) sighted were a majority of walkers and cyclists (at least 60%) who were not wearing masks! This despite clear advice to ALWAYS wear them when leaving home. Please comply and help keep everyone safe. Or just stay home instead. The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?
