Hi Canterbury,

What's your opinion on dog-friendly businesses?

The number of dog friendly businesses in the Canterbury region are on the rise with over 30 cafes allowing dog owners to dine with their canines.

The decision is the business owner’s rather than council's, and the only requirement is dogs must be at least three metres away from the kitchen.

Covid update - National figures

What a great result as another drop puts it into the 2600 zone, the best since Feb 2022
It could be a wee bit concerning that Cant seems slower to drop 16.6% as we were only 15% a couple of months ago.
