Boy (Girl) Racers

Robert from Hillsborough

Dear All
There is concern about the Boy (Girl) Racer misbehaviour in our City.
The following verses perhaps sum up the matter.

Boy Racers think streets are their realm,
And feel they are gods at the helm;
But hold hard my friend,
Their exploits often end,
In outcomes that can overwhelm.

Some think that no matter the case,
They have ev’ry right to each race,
And one-eighty spins
To discover who wins;
We hope they’re removed without trace.

’Tis wrong that you think they’re all boys,
Indulging in furious joys;
There’s quite a few girls
Who indulge in these whirls
By using their cars as mad toys.

I wish they’d divert useless skills,
And find other ways for their thrills;
They should change their ways,
And get well deserved praise,
Instead of behaving like dills.

Response to regifting presents

Gordon from Halswell

My mind tends to wander:
I do not see any problem with regifting it back to the person who gave it, they obviously liked it. In fact, that might work out well as you buy the present you want, then gift it to someone you know who will gift it back.
Perfect, no decision needs to be made about Xmas presents
