What do you think of the changes at Pioneer Pool?
Christchurch's newly refurbished Pioneer pool has reopened with cold showers and fewer benches and hooks in the changing rooms.
The city council spent $1.8 million on the refurbishment, which involved lining the 25-metre pool, cleaning and repairing tiles and piping work in the leisure and spa pools, installing new water toys, upgrading the change rooms, repairing and resurfacing the pool concourse and refurbishing the steam and sauna rooms. Underfloor structural repairs were also completed along with minor structural repairs to the plant room.
