Auckland at Alert Level 2 from midnight
From midnight tonight, Auckland will be at Alert Level 2.
* People can go back to work
* Schools and daycares are open
* Gatherings are restricted to 100 people
* Social distancing in public with strangers required
* Public and hospitality venues can open, and sports are allowed, subject to limits on gathering numbers and other provisions.
The alert level will be reviewed again on Monday.

Auckland Harbour Bridge summer works
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is carrying out essential maintenance on the Auckland Harbour Bridge this December and January. The southbound clip-on lanes will be closed (24/7) from 26 December to 5 January for road resurfacing. Night-time lane restrictions will be in place throughout the summer for recoating work on the bridge. Traffic will still be able to travel in both directions at all times.
