Hi all. Not many people seem to know what the containers are on the Falls carpark on the corner of Edmonton/ Alderman Drive in Henderson. Not many people seem to know what the containers are on the Falls carpark on the corner of Edmonton/ Alderman Drive in Henderson. Just to shed some light on what they are, half of the containers are for the Ecomatters Bike Hub. What is a bike hub? They look to help you with cycling advice about your bike, have local cycle maps and info, sell used bikes, loan out used bikes for you to use and have parts and accessories. Best to go in and chat to them. Their hours are Friday - Sunday 10am - 4pm.

The other container is a pop-up gallery and sales shop for the Kakano Youth collective. They are the collective responsible for brightening up Henderson over the last few years. There's some great art to see and buy just in time for Christmas. Their hours are Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sat, 10am -3pm.

Great location so go in for a nosy and see what they are about. Great to have them around in an area that is not used that often and brings a bit of life to the area. I'm sure they would like to see more people there.
Auckland Council's Panuku developments are in control of the carpark and hope to get a few more things happening down there to liven the place up. In the future there are also plans for world leading sustainable designed apartments to be built on the site. www.panuku.co.nz...
