skill building and fostering independence

Ainsley Darvell from Flying Kites - Remuera

Are you an engaging and encouraging person?
Are you looking for part time evening work in Remuera?
Would you make an amazing mentor and coach?

We are looking for a compassionate, responsible and fun person to support a young woman with a disability. She is exploring life as an adult and needs someone who will help her to grow and develop her skills. Now that she has her own space at home, she is keen to become more independent with tasks like cooking, tidying and getting ready for bed. She needs your help to build her independence and her confidence with these tasks.

She responds well to clear communicators, who look for the best in people and love to celebrate success. This young lady loves to swim, ride horses, and generally make the most of what life has to offer. If you love to dance, laugh and find joy in your daily tasks then this is the job for you. We need a helper Monday - Thursday evenings about 3.30-7pm (8.30pm on a Thursday). We can be flexible on times for the right person. We will also have some weekday hours coming up if that suits you better. You need a full licence and some great references to be the person we are dreaming of.

If you are interested, please email jobs@flyingkites.org.nz or send me a message
