Pakuranga Covid-19 Plan organised by Simeon Brown
Not sure if any of you are on Facebook but Simeon Brown is trying to organise "Street Captains" to try and help the Pakuranga Electorate during this time.
A Street Captain will:
- contact everyone in their street.
- be the point of contact for anyone who might need assistance.
- help communicate any key messages to your street.
Simeon is then trying to organise "Suburb Captains" to support the "Street Captains".
The post is on his official Facebook page - www.facebook.com...
In it he links to this document where you can sign up if you're willing to be a Street Captain -

There are so many neighbourly people on here (haha pun intended) - it would be good to link with our local MP and make sure we're well organised and on the same page.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
