Winter Energy Payment is ending for 2025

The final Winter Energy Payment for 2025 will be in the week starting 6 October, and it will be a part-payment. If people need extra support, Work and Income may be able to help in other ways:
• go to msd.govt.nz - to check what support they could be eligible for
• contact Work and Income. Find more info online workandincome.govt.nz

Winter Energy Payment starts again on 1 May next year. If people qualify, they’ll get it automatically.
