Summer School 2025, Jan 23rd - 26th -- In person and online
Everyone is warmly invited to the annual Buddhist Summer School. The Opening Forum is free to attend on Thursday 23rd January at 6.30 pm. The speakers come from a rich diversity of backgrounds including Zen, Tibetan Buddhism, theology, visual arts, and the medical field. The opening forum will include a panel discussion with the speakers, and time for Q&A with the audience. Courses will be run in-person and via Zoom. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
