Sandringham Playgroup
Our Sandringham Playgroup is parent-led playgroup for children aged 5 years and under, their parents and caregivers. Open hours are Mon, Wed and Fri from 9:30am to 12:00pm. All parents and babies/toddlers are welcome to join in and you can stay for as long as you like. You can also attend whichever days suits your schedule. Our playgroup is located at the back of the Sandringham Community Centre and cost to attend is $2 per session per family. Playgroup focus is on maintaining a fun, safe and inclusive space for children and their caregivers to get to know others in the Playgroup community. Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Have you seen Rowena?
Police are urgently appealing for sightings of Rowena, 39, reported missing from Christchurch.
She was reported missing to Police on 22 October 2025, and was last seen on 14 August 2025. Rowena hasn’t been in contact with her children and her family are worried for her safety.
Police investigating her disappearance have identified her as being in Auckland, Tauranga and Christchurch in the recent months prior to her missing person report being made.
