Outdoor Tables Available

Claire from Mount Wellington

Just because it's not a high-traffic street -- I've noticed there's a small (4 person) outdoor table abandoned outside near the corner of Panorama Rd and Penrose Rd (north side of the street), and someone else has left a larger glass topped outdoor table (6 or 8 person size) outside the property right next to the power lines further down Panorama.

Hopefully someone can refurb and rehome those!

Also a reminder to everyone - you can book hard rubbish collection with Auckland Council but our area isn't due until later this year -- if you need to get rid of something usable please call one of the charity op shops to pick up instead of dumping it!

Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? 💰🌲

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.

We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?

Keen to dig deeper? Mike White has the scoop.

So here’s the question: why do we get so excited when a new store opens? Convenience? Curiosity? A reason for a weekend outing? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
