Will the shipping cost affect our life soon?

Earlier in the morning, one of my friends saw an article in the business section of the Herald....
"The cost of shipping a 40 ft container from China has increased from about US$2000 in November to more than US$9000 according to shippers and importers."
I wonder if Auckland council want to move our wharf to another city. If so it will happen.
