Poll: Would you want an unconventional funeral?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Funerals can cost as much as $22,000 and the planning can be stressful especially at a time when loved ones are grieving. Some New Zealanders are re-imagining funerals by making their own coffin or having a relaxed ceremony at home. Would you want a less traditional funeral? Share your thoughts below.

Type 'Not For Print' if you wish your comments to be excluded from the Conversations column of your local paper.

Blankets 4 Kids 4 Winter Project is Underway

Rob from Bucklands Beach

Winter is on its way and the unfortunate truth is that many families in the community will not have enough blankets to keep their kids warm on winter nights.

The Collection Points will again be the Howick Information Centre, Howick Village Optometrist both in Picton Street and Grasslands in Moore Street. An additional collection point has now been added with Placemakers Pakuranga joining the team complete with signage on the Pakuranga Highway.

For those people who would like to support the appeal but do not have spare blankest Howick Rotary have set up their web site www.howickrotary.org.nz... to accept donations or you can click the link buy.stripe.com....

A Big Thank You for Supporting this Wonderful Community Project!
