Hi neighbours, Despite Auckland already being short an estimated 40,000 homes to adequately house its population, the number of empty homes in the region has risen by 18 per cent in five years to nearly 40,000. Experts say the trend is likely due to a lack of affordable housing and is causing overcrowding . Are there many "ghost houses" in your area?
