Are our Hospitals doing the right thing?

Hugh from Browns Bay

For the last couple of weeks, we are told that Hospitals have cancelled all non urgent bookings. But as we are seeing it so far, only 5 patients are in hospital with the virus. So they are sitting at 50 or 60% occupancy levels. But it means hundreds are at home in pain or other difficulty, needing some surgery or other treatment, which maybe now should start getting back into the system. Those people may only be in hospital overnight, or a few days.

Even if the worst happened, and the virus attacked patient numbers had a ten fold jump, that would mean an extra 50, spread across hospitals all over the country! Not too hard to deal with I am sure. Time for a rethink perhaps? Life is still going on!

Say goodbye to tyre waste

Tyrewise

About 40% of the 6.5 million tyres Kiwis use every year are recycled, repurposed, or used as tyre-derived fuel. But the rest end up in landfills, stockpiled or dumped.

The good news is now there’s an easy solution to all that tyre waste. It’s called Tyrewise and is New Zealand’s first national tyre recycling scheme.

Tyrewise ensures that tyres in Aotearoa New Zealand are recycled or repurposed properly, saving millions from going to the landfill.

Find out more about the scheme online.

Free Session How to find your ideal life coach

Steve Brown from Hibiscus Life Coaching

A good life coach will help you make the most of your life, and prosper through life’s challenges. For example; building healthy relationships, career goals, change and loss, managing stress and work-life balance. Helping you clear away the clouds to let the sunshine in.

But how to find your ideal coach?

To get positive results you need to feel you are comfortable sharing your innermost feelings and desires. Your coach really needs to ‘get’ you so that so they can effectively support and motivate you in the journey towards the goals you choose.

Fortunately, most life coaches give you the chance to ‘try before you buy’ and offer an introductory free session. Check through local life coaches on the net and check out a couple with a free session to find one you feel most comfortable with.

Costs for ongoing sessions can vary quite widely but some coaches offer a discounted rate if you are on a limited income. It’s good to check.
