Want to help in your community, and world wide - become a Lion

Paul Coyle from East Coast Bays Lions Club

Lions Clubs International is the largest service club organisation in the world. It enables individuals and their clubs to work in their local community whilst also contributing to the world-wide activities of the wonderful organisation.
Your local East Coast Bays Lions club has been active in this area since 1962, supporting countless local organisations, individuals as well as national appeals. We need further members to enable us to expand our community efforts, and to live up to our motto of "We Serve"
With contributions made by each Lions Club to the Lions Club International Foundation, tens of millions of people world-wide have received vision restoration, disaster relief, with a new international campaign being launched to eradicate measles.
In this way your club ins able to contribute to local, national and international service needs.
We are looking for new members to help us continue to serve the local area. Community spirited people are all that is required, individuals or couples.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
