To all parents and family who have farewelled their child/children out of home and off to University. A BIG hug.
Our daughter has left home to pursue her studies in Wellington and the piece of me that left with her, aches.
This message is of support, for those of us who have raised our children and now have a space where there was their person.
To be happy for them is the essence of being.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
