We are retired teachers, originally from America, living in one of the grand old Ponsonby villas. Our kids are grown and gone (well, most of the time) and so we rent out their bedrooms (which come with beds and sheets and towels and the occasional chocolate chip cookie from the old fashioned oven in the shared kitchen). Casual, warm atmosphere with an international flavor...good people coming through the place to visit from time to time...would suit a single student or overseas visitor.
