The historic Bluestone wall off Albert St will be moved 1.5 metres to make way for the underground rail tunnels being built in Auckland's major infrastructure project, the City Rail Link.
Every brick will be labelled with a unique number so workers know how to rebuild the wall.
Expected to be reconstructed by 2023, it will be moved east with the station tunnel box running parallel.
The wall was constructed in 1880 from local material after the widening of Durham St.

After retiring she decided that she would spend some of her spare time volunteering when she saw the Amitabha Hospice advertisement needing volunteers to help people in their community.
Having completed the training course, attending weekly evening classes for 6 weeks, Anne now visits two Amitabha Hospice patients every week, spending a few hours chatting and helping them in many ways. She considers them both friends rather than her patients and says the ‘best aspect of volunteering is the friendship that is established - always people.’

This long-standing project got the green light in May 2019. The change rooms at Grey Lynn Park were due for an upgrade including the development of new change rooms and toilets and the demolition of the old athletics building. Our local board provided direction to the concept design which was consulted on with the Richmond Rovers Rugby League Club

- North-easterly winds are being recorded in Auckland, with Metservice forecasting winds up to 110km/h between 2pm and 4pm in the bridge area.
- Waka Kotahi (NZTA) have introduced speed restrictions on the Harbour Bridge.
- Drivers of heavy vehicles and motorcyclists are advised to travel via the Western Ring Route (State Highways 16 and 18).
