Details on letterbox theft

Miranda from Mount Eden

Hi all, letterbox theft is a serious matter and please everyone be careful with their details. I am on Grange road and when this happened last year they took the details off my new debit card that had been sent to my address and then put the card back - waiting for me to activate it. When I did, they spent all my money, around 2k. I got the address they sent stuff to, a BP location they used the BPme app (CCTV?) and as they did top ups on their phones, there would have been numbers of contact. The police did nothing.

After telling ANZ NOT to send out the debit card attached to our new home loan account.... they did this week and as the card was activated in branch, they have taken the card and spent money online again. We've laid a complaint with ANZ, and will be talking to the police again - they surely have evidence to go after someone here.

I advise no one gets their card sent to their address, or any sensitive communications of any kind.

Poll: Have you ever been bullied?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

People associate bullying with children in schools, but it can actually stretch beyond childhood to workplaces or neighbourhoods.

This Friday is Pink Shirt Day, which began in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against homophobic bullying after a new student was harassed for wearing pink. People across the globe are now encouraged to wear pink on this day to take a stand against bullying and promote inclusivity.

Have you or your whānau ever experienced bullying? Share your thoughts on Pink Shirt Day below.

Type 'Not For Print' if you wish your comments to be excluded from the Conversations column of your local paper.
