Kiwi Families set for upfront cash subsidy to help make homes affordable!
Listen to the wonderful life change that Sanjida Pathan experienced,as a single mum on a lower income, who was able to buy her own home in Mangere East, partnering with Habitat Auckland in our Progressive Home Ownership Scheme. 💕
Delighted to hear Sanjida speak so eloquently interviewed by the Herald about the difference being able to buy a home has made to her family’s life. 🤗
Housing Minister Phil Twyford confirmed to the Herald this week he was working on a plan for the Government or private investors to start buying homes in partnership with lower-income Kiwis, under a new government scheme.
Habitat for Humanity strongly advocates that everyone , no matter what their income, deserves a decent, affordable place to call home.
Here’s to the government stepping up soon to support Habitat for Humanity and other organisation with similar programmes to help get as many Kiwi families into a place they can call home very soon! 🙏
