Listen to the wonderful life change that Sanjida Pathan experienced,as a single mum on a lower income, who was able to buy her own home in Mangere East, partnering with Habitat Auckland in our Progressive Home Ownership Scheme. 💕

Delighted to hear Sanjida speak so eloquently interviewed by the Herald about the difference being able to buy a home has made to her family’s life. 🤗

Housing Minister Phil Twyford confirmed to the Herald this week he was working on a plan for the Government or private investors to start buying homes in partnership with lower-income Kiwis, under a new government scheme.

Habitat for Humanity strongly advocates that everyone , no matter what their income, deserves a decent, affordable place to call home.

Here’s to the government stepping up soon to support Habitat for Humanity and other organisation with similar programmes to help get as many Kiwi families into a place they can call home very soon! 🙏

Warren has been involved with Habitat since its early days in New Zealand (commencing in 1995). Starting as a volunteer, he then led our team as Executive director of Habitat Auckland for many years and currently ensures
all our health and safety requirements are A1 standard. 🧐👍

Warren Jack was the man behind the dream to break Habitat for Humanity's World Speed Record building a 4 Bedroom House in 3 Hours, 44 Minutes & 59 Seconds..... what an amazing event that was! 🎉

This vintage caravan drawing was supposed to be a gift for Warren's retirement...but lucky for us this isn't happening any time soon so we decided to present it to him in celebration of his 70th birthday! 🎂

Wishing you a very happy birthday week Warren!
May you have many happy caravan adventures when we allow you a few days off....🤩 🚐

How can we begin to thank you for all you have done through the years for so many...changing lives, tirelessly working toward Habitat's mission that everyone deserves a decent place to live!
A humble, heartfelt Thank you from all of us x🙏🍀
