Habitat for Humanity Auckland is part of an affiliated Habitat network working in over 70 countries worldwide towards our vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

We welcome you to learn more about our work at https://habitat.org.nz/northern/

In pursuit of this vision, Habitat Auckland provides a wide range of home construction, repair, renovation and advocacy programmes aimed at building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

While our work is strongly focused on the needs of vulnerable households in Auckland, we also provide significant support across the Pacific region through ongoing build programmes and disaster relief.

Habitat for Humanity runs a chain of ReStore charity shops.

As a part of Habitat for Humanity Auckland, ReStore is a chain of non-profit charity shops that accept donations of new and gently used furniture, appliances, home décor, and building supplies from the public.

We embrace Upcycling with all the inspiration and imagination that it brings. ReStore believe in giving 'the past a future' to as many donations as we can, saving the environment and dollars in our customer's wallets.

Each donation and purchase makes a big difference toward the vision of Habitat for Humanity: that everyone deserves a decent place to live.

We have ReStores in Ormiston (Otara), Henderson, Panmure, Pukekohe and soon to be Central Auckland..... we are growing everyday.

Habitat Auckland also runs Habitat Curtain bank.

www.habitatcurtainbank.org.nz

The Habitat Curtain Bank provides low income Auckland individuals and whanau with free curtains for their home.

Research shows that well fitted curtains are effective at reducing heat loss.  This not only helps keep a home warm and healthy, but also greatly helps with reducing energy bills.

Many families, particularly living in rental properties cannot afford to buy good quality curtains. The Habitat Curtain Bank exists to help support these families.

If you have a community services card or a child that has been hospitalised with respiratory illnesses, Habitat may be able to help. Please contact us

We welcome you into the Habitat whanau.
