3. or even walking with you (we can wear masks and walk 2m apart and still chat),
4. or I can just come along to your letterbox and bring my thermos of coffee and we can sit 2 m apart, with masks on, and simply chat.

Well Aucklanders are being asked to share their food stories and nominate the region’s best dishes.
The Iconic Eats Auckland list launched last year with nominations ranging from dishes found at fine dining establishments to cafes, food trucks, markets and hole-in-the-wall offerings.
Winners ranged from traditional dishes to those representing the ethnic diversity of the region.
Auckland Unlimited spokesperson Annie Dundas said Iconic Eats is the “ultimate culinary bucket list” of dishes that can only be enjoyed in Auckland.
“What makes this list unique is the amazing stories submitted with each dish that showcases the diversity of Auckland’s food scene – the talented people, the places, the cultures, the experiences, the flavours,” she said.
One person who submits a story will be declared the winner of Iconic Auckland Eats 2021 and enjoy vouchers for all 100 winning eats.
Nominations are now open and stories can be submitted at www.iconiceats.co.nz... up to 31 August 2021.

We're looking for lockdown gardening ideas! With New Zealanders stuck at home everyone is keen to get into their gardens, but they can't get to the shops to buy plants and seeds. So we want to hear from you some suggestions for crops you can start or sow from what you have on hand or useful gardening hacks using just what you have at home already without going to the shops.
It doesn't have to be a big idea - just something like growing spring onions from the base or sprouting avocado seeds to make a houseplant. Send your tips and ideas to mailbox@nzgardener.co.nz and we'll publish the best ideas in NZ Gardener.

The Covid-19 Vaccine Independent Safety Monitoring Board advised the Ministry of Health that the woman had developed myocarditis, a severe side affect, after receiving the Pfizer jab. Myocarditis is a rare side effect of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine. "The CV-ISMB considered that the myocarditis… View moreThe Covid-19 Vaccine Independent Safety Monitoring Board advised the Ministry of Health that the woman had developed myocarditis, a severe side affect, after receiving the Pfizer jab. Myocarditis is a rare side effect of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine. "The CV-ISMB considered that the myocarditis was probably due to vaccination. The CV-ISMB noted that there were other medical issues occurring at the same time which may have influenced the outcome following vaccination," the board said.
"This is the first case in New Zealand where a death in the days following vaccination has been linked to the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine."
The case has now been referred to the Coroner to determine the cause of death. Last month, Medsafe issued a safety alert to raise awareness of the relatively recently discovered side affect; myocarditis. CV-ISMB Chair Dr John Tait reassured health officials are still confident in the use of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine in New Zealand. “The Pfizer vaccine is highly effective in protecting against serious illness and death from Covid-19, and we remain confident about using it in New Zealand," he said. The board has advised the Ministry of Health to ensure health professionals are aware of the signs of myocarditis and pericarditis. Up to August 7, five deaths were still under investigation by tjhe Centre for Adverse Reactions Monitoring over whether they were linked to the vaccine.
