Learn to Sail at the Glendowie Boating Club

Craig Liddell from Glendowie Boating Club

Hey Kids - Learn to Sail at the GBC

Learning to sail is a lot of fun and provides children with valuable life skills.

To help children get into sailing in an easy way without the upfront cost of purchasing a boat, Glendowie Boating Club have 12 well equipped Optimists available for children as part of our LEARN TO SAIL programs. Experienced YNZ coaches provide both on and off the water sailing skills. Our coaches were once young sailors themselves and many have achieved international repute – they know how to motivate and develop skills and self-confidence in young sailors.

LEARN TO SAIL programs run during the school holidays and on Sundays during the sailing season in school term time. Visit our website for the latest news on courses and whilst you are there see what else we have by way of development programs.
