More heavy vehicles will be rolling between Auckland and Northport for a week from Friday.
About 800 extra trucks are expected to hit the area as they carry 1200 containers from Northport to Auckland.
The receptacles hail from the ship Constantinos P which was diverted to Northport after delays unloading Christmas cargo in Auckland.
Motorists can expect to see up to 12 trucks every hour leaving Northport from 6 am to midnight for a week.
The Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency says people should plan ahead and allow more time for their journey.

Coping tiles were cracked and lifting all around the pool so we removed them all and continued the kwila decking through with a downturn to hide all of the grout which cleaned up really nicely
