NZ Police - Onehunga Community Constable Don Allans Newsletter

Colleen from Onehunga

Hello again neighbours and Happy Spring,,
Don's newsletter contains all the latest incidents in Onehunga, Onehunga South & Onehunga Mall, Hillsborough, Te Papapa, Oranga - One Tree Hill, Penrose, Royal Oak - Epsom South - lots of information relating to our Neighbourhoods.
You will see Don's theme this month is focusing on being vigilant of your surroundings and the goings/people acting suspiciously ( Do not approach them) around your area. The other major point is not to leave valuable items in your vehicles to encourage problems plus of course arming or putting a steering lock at least on your vehicle. The cost of a steering lock is very likely to be far less than your insurances excess if your car is stolen !!
Don runs 90 , yes 90 neighbourhood support groups !!! He's a very very busy Police officer and always welcomes more support groups. These groups help reduce crime and protects our community aka village.
Don's contact details are ... Bus hours : 09 622 8722.
Mobile 021 1913077. Email Donald.allan@police.govt.nz

Regards
Colleen

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
