Come get your authentic Tempeh fix â lovingly made by me the Indonesian way. For those still do not know what Tempeh is, I will be doing tasting and making one of the Indonesian favourites called Tempeh Medoan (thinly sliced deep fried in crispy batter). Tempeh Mendoan originates from the city of Purwokerto in Central Java, Indonesia. Most people consider tempeh as a snack and is one of the more popular Indonesian street foods, for good reason.
