(update at 01/07/2025 - yesterday morning I harvested a lot of vegetables from the front yard vegi planting area inside the garden of my property, see the photo taken yesterday)
(update at 24/06/2025 - I harvested a lot of vegetables yesterday from the front yard vegi planting area inside the garden of my property, slightly more than the amount I harvested 10 days ago. However the vegetables at the front yard vegi planting area don't look less, and the vegetables at the backyard area become more and more dense. See the photos taken yesterday)
(update at 14/06/2025 - today I harvested a lot of vegetables from the vegi planting area in the front yard of my property. It took me a couple of hours to harvest, clean, 1st wash with rain water harvested inside the large water tank, 2nd wash with the tap water in my kitchen, then cook them all with the method I was used to, see the attached photos. If any interested people come, you will notice the vegetables at the vegi planting area next to the front yard are becoming less and less, but the vegetables at the backyard vegi planting area are still growing densely. I have already started to cultivate vegi seedlings for the next round vegi planting at the front yard vegi planting area. A short while later, it is time to start to harvest the vegetables planted at the backyard of my property. Even though planting vegetables within a small section of the land, with proper planning, it is achievable to have enough vegetables supply all year round)
The vegetables of Asian Pak Choy growing in my garden are ready for harvesting sooner or later, see the photos among those I took on the morning of 11th June. Last vegi planting season, there were people among you coming to purchase the vegetables I growed in my garden after I published a post here. Now I'm publishing a post here again.
When any interested people come, please tell me the best price you can get from the popular big branded supermarkets, I will give you 2/3 of the price for the same variety of vegetables listed on the same day. Please bring your own bag, schedule about 30 mins when you're here, let's harvest together, briefly wash off the soil sticky on the vegetables dug out, and weigh it afterwards.
For example, if the best price for the same varieties of vegetables listed on the same day you can get from the popular big branded supermarkets is $12 for 3 kgs, I only charge you $8.
(Note: I'm a vegetables lover, able to consume large quantity of vegetables in a very short period of time with the hot spicy steam-boat cooking method, but considering that there are people out there love vegetables as well and are interested in saving money, I couldn't bear to let myself alone to "waste" the results of my hard work in growing vegetables, so I'd like to list it here for someone interested)

In the past year, Police have worked quickly to warn the public as these scam calls emerged.
Waitematā CIB’s acting Detective Senior Sergeant Ben Bergin says, “unsuspecting victims are essentially being called out of the blue under a ruse”.
“The story changes slightly, but it will usually involve some sort of investigation and this ‘officer’ will report having located a valuable item of yours, such as a passport.
“He will need your help or ask for your personal information.
“The caller speaks with an English accent and provides a bogus ID number to the victim.”
If you receive a phone call such as this, Police advise the public to be extremely cautious.
Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Bergin says previous iterations of this scam has involved scammers asking people to withdraw cash as part of ‘an investigation’ or handing over bank details.
Police made several arrests last year over the scam.
“We strongly advise that you hang up,” he says.
“From time-to-time, Police officers may contact you as part of their genuine duties.
“It can be a bit surprising to receive a call unexpectantly, so stop and think if you get a far-fetched story shared down the telephone line.”
In the past week, Police have received reports from Kiwis on both islands, including: Warkworth, Riverhead, Royal Oak, Ngaruawahia and in the Clutha and Queenstown-Lakes districts.
“Fortunately, at this stage we are not aware of any victims losing money,” acting Detective Senior Sergeant Bergin says.
“Those recipients have done the right thing and ended the call and reported it to the real Police.”
If you have received a similar call, please report this to Police online now or call 105.

Still images are being released of a person that Police is still working to identify, and we need to hear from you today.
The wounding occurred on Friday 16 May at about 11.40am on Settlement Road in Papakura.
“A man in his 70s was walking alone in a westerly direction at the time, outside Papakura Intermediate School,” Detective Senior Sergeant Simon Taylor, of Counties Manukau South CIB says.
“Around the same time a person was walking on the opposite side of the road heading in the other direction.”
For reasons unknown, this person crossed the road towards the victim.
“They have approached the victim and lunged towards him, making contact,” Detective Senior Sergeant Taylor says.
“Immediately after the offender fled the scene, and the victim realised he had suffered a stab wound.
“The victim required hospital treatment and is recovering from this cowardly and unprovoked attack.”
Police need to hear from anyone who recognises the person in images being released.
“People in the community will know who this person is and they need to do the right thing and speak up.”
Anyone with information can update Police online now or call 105 using the reference number 250516/1021.
