When can a tenancy end early?
🏡 When can a tenancy end early? Usually, fixed-term tenancies can't end early, and periodic tenancies need the right notice — but there are exceptions!
A tenancy can end early if:
✔️ Both parties agree
✔️ Severe hardship (apply to Tribunal)
✔️ Body corporate rules change
✔️ Property becomes uninhabitable
✔️ Family violence is experienced
✔️ Assault by the tenant
✔️ Repeated anti-social behaviour
✔️ Serious rent arrears
Always check your rights and responsibilities! 📜
