Aotea signs International Dark Sky Proclamation

Aotea / Great Barrier Local Board has made a “Dark Sky Proclamation” on behalf of the island to mark International Dark Sky Week.

In 2017, Aotea became the third place in the world to achieve International Dark Sky Sanctuary status, and the first island to receive this honour.
