MetService has issued a strong wind watch for Waitomo.
Valid: 8 hours from 8:00am to 4:00pm Wednesday.
Forecast: West to southwesterly winds may approach severe gale in exposed places during this time.
An update for severe weather will be issued by 9:00pm Tuesday 22 Oct 2019.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
