Sea lion closes popular walkway
A sea lion on the main highway into Timaru is further disrupting the exercise plans of people wanting to use the Saltwater Creek walkway.
A large section of the popular walkway could be closed for weeks as the council works with the Department of Conservation to work out what to do about the rogue sea lion.
DOC quotes "public safety is the most important aspect in all our decisions."
