Appeal for information: Assault, Claudelands
Police are looking to make contact with a member of the public who stepped in during an assault in Claudelands (16 September).
Emergency services were called about 10.35am to an incident on Brooklyn Road, where a man was allegedly assaulting a woman in the street. A member of the public stopped and tried to help, and has then also allegedly been assaulted. They have then left the scene before Police arrived.
We are hoping to speak with the person who intervened – firstly, to check on their welfare, and secondly, so we can take a statement from them with regards to the incident.

Fonterra has cut its forecast Farmgate Milk Price for the 2025/26 season after a ninth straight global dairy trade auction dip.
On Thursday, the Co-op adjusted the forecast range from $9-$10 per kilo of milk solids to $8.50 to $9.50 with the midpoint changing from $9.50 per to $9.
