Free Yoga Nidra Sessions – Looking for Volunteers 🌸

Valentina from One Tree Hill

Hi Neighbours! 👋
I’ve recently completed my Yoga Nidra Teacher Training, and as part of my preparation for the final exam in mid-October, I need to practice guiding sessions once a week with a small group.
If you’ve ever been curious about Yoga Nidra, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience it for free!

Yoga Nidra is a deeply relaxing guided meditation that:
🌿 Helps with anxiety, stress, and insomnia
🌙 Releases tension from body and mind
💫 Supports positive changes in your life

Session Details:
📍 Starting next week
📍 Thursday evenings (7:00–7:30 PM) or Sunday afternoons (time to arrange together)
📍 The location will depend on group size:
✔ If small, we can meet at my home in One Tree Hill
✔ If larger, I will arrange the Scout Hall in Panmure

The session itself is 30 minutes, but please allow around one hour including setting up and time for any questions.

No experience is needed — just bring a mat, a couple of pillows, and a blanket.

If you’re interested, please message me and let me know which day you would prefer – Thursday evening or Sunday afternoon.

Your help would be greatly appreciated, and I’d love to share this beautiful practice with you! 🙏

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
