Veterinary Service Aotearoa (after hours vet clinic)
A question im hoping to put to any local pet owners. Our cat who is about 6 months old swallowed some paracetomol...a very small amount, but it is toxic to Cats. Our Vet was about to close so they sent us to VSA Veterinary Service Aotearoa off Carbine Road. They suggested we needed to keep the Cat in for the night for observation. The charge for this was going to be $3,000. Im not sure how they justify that cost but it does seem excessive. Is it excessive, or is this pretty standard for after hours cost. I googled and they suggested locally it should be closer to $500.
Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
