Awesome job for a student!

Ainsley Darvell from Flying Kites - Albany

· Are you a student/young person with some time to spare?
· Fancy getting paid to do fun stuff with 19 yr old?
· Weekends and school holiday work hours
· Based in Millwater

A 19yr old man with autism is looking for someone of similar age to hang out with and help him learn some independent skills. Going to places like Motat, go karting, movies, museums, out for lunch, community events the mall are what you’ll be doing. There is so much fun this won’t feel like a job!

He just needs some help with money, finding his way around and learning some life skills (like catching the bus). If you can help this man to learn and practise these skills whilst out having fun, then this could be your dream job. Sometimes you may just be hanging out at home playing Xbox or having a chat.

It is essential you have a car and a full licence. One day at the weekend for 5 or 6 hrs and 3 days per week during the school holidays for 6hrs.

If you are interested, please email jobs@flyingkites.org.nz or send me a message

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
