Serious crash - Khandallah
A serious incident has occurred in Khandallah this morning which has resulted in a fatality.
Police were called to a collision at 6.35am this morning involving a car and a motorcycle. The crash occurred at the intersection of Station Road and Cashmere Avenue.
What you need to know:
- Road closures are in place. Where possible, avoid the area and motorists are asked to follow instructions of emergency service staff.
- As the crash occurred near trainlines, the Khandallah train station has been closed with trains on the Johnsonville line only running between Wellington and Ngaio.
- Limited buses have now been sourced to run between Ngaio and Johnsonville. Metlink passengers are advised to expect delays and check their website for updates.
