St Chads Community Market Day

Shirley Green from Hibiscus Coast Anglican Parish

It is almost Market Day again on the 3rd September between 8 am and 12 Noon in St Chads carpark (Corner of Centreway Road and Florence Avenue) providing an opportunity for people to buy, sell, haggle or browse. Artisans and crafters welcome. $15 per space, $5 per table if you need one. Money from site rental goes to our building fund. To book please phone or text Shirley 0272442832 or Grant 021 0830 7743.
Thank you to all of those ho come to support our community market. There will also be an OP Shop Stall, sausage Sizzle and bake stall this month. Tell your friends and family all about it

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
